high temperature Ryzen 5 7600x

Hello,
Last November, I bought a new machine with the following specifications:

  • Motherboard: TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI
  • Processor: Ryzen 5 7600X
  • NVMe: Samsung 980 PRO 1TB
  • Graphics Card: RTX 3060 Ti
  • Water Cooler: MAG Core Liquid P240 MSI
  • Power Supply: Corsair CX650

However, since I bought my computer, it has always run at high temperatures. For instance, in idle mode, it consistently stays between 55 to 70 degrees. When I open a webpage, the temperature suddenly spikes by 30 degrees, reaching 80 to 90 degrees. Even in the BIOS, it stays between 60 and 70 degrees.

After some research, I found that these temperatures were considered normal, but recently, it started to bother me a lot. I also tried the original AMD air cooler, and the temperatures were even worse, reaching 80 degrees in the BIOS.

Should I contact warranty or support?Imagem do WhatsApp de 2024-11-03 à(s) 17.28.24_2786cdef.jpg

This is normal stock behavior. The 7000 series processors are designed to boost voltage and frequency to achieve the best performance possible, right up to the thermal limit of 95°C.

Here's a short video on how you can use PBO settings to modify that.
