hi everyone, i been having this error whenever i play pavlov vr "exiting due to d3d device being lost. (error: 0x887a0006 - 'hung') forum"

i really need help because my comp should be able to run this game with ease, but instead it plays for about 3 mins then comes up with with "exiting due to d3d device being lost. (error: 0x887a0006 - 'hung') "iv done some research on other forums, my drivers are all up to date. i dont know what to do!! can anyone help me??

need hardware specs and a copy of the crash dumps would be helpful too

alright

cpu: intel core i5-9400F 

ram: 8 gig

ssd: 240g

gpu: radeon rx 5500 XT

i really sorry but i dont know what or where crash dumps are..

That error code is usually centered around the DXGI layer of the graphics subsystem. This is the layer above the WDDM components.

Could be a game defect or a driver that lacks some component used by the game.

Halo: CE (original) tool a long time before nVidia would support it properly. Worked fine with Radeon.

Look in /windows/minidump

oh gosh i really wish i knew what you ment by all that, so maybe reinstall game? iv read though a  few forums and they say that emptying the download catch would do the trick? still bugs out after playing for like 10 mins or so, i tryed reinstalling vive but no luck same error, 

very interesting.. i had to create a crash dump for pavlov and its like 2 gigs..
