I got one of the new 4k 32 inch oled's this year with the HDR 400/peak 1000. i already the stuff about HDR true black 400 not being true HDR and all that, this isn't discussing that. i am able to get it to enable and function in basically every game except 3 problem children. resident evil 7, resident evil village, and avatar: frontiers of pandora.
Resident evil 7/village has the HDR mode slider greyed out and tells me my environment doesn't support HDR, cant even force it through the config, I'm set to 10 bit color mode in adrenaline and I've tried various permutation of starting with HDR off and on or auto HDR off and on, or starting HDR once i open the game, etc. etc. at a loss on those two
Now avatar will let me enable it, but it just completely washes the rendering, looks like HDR isn't even on, messing with config does nothing
Sorry if all of this is irrelevant but everywhere else i asked just condescendingly told me that i needed to make sure my monitor had HDR which is the equivalent of asking me if i tried turning it off and back on again, thanks for any help someone might have
if it turns out these games are broken and it isn't me, ill just concede and use Specialk or something, would just prefer to use the official implementation.
