Graphic issues

hello, last year I built my new pc with the following components:
-MDB: nzxt n7 z790,
Power supply: Corsair rm 1000x 80 plus gold 1000 watts,
RAM: corsair vengeance rgb ddr5 32go,
COOLER: NZXT kraken 240 RGB ,
SSD: samsung 970 Evo ssd 1to,
CPU: i7 13700k,
HDD: 1to (i don't know the brand).
I also added a Radeon Rx6650xt graphics card from my old PC. The problem is that despite my components I can only play with medium or low graphics settings for the majority of games. And some times my graphic card is use to 100% while my cpu to 1% .For example on Hogwarts legacy, Apex, The Hunter, my PC slows down significantly when I increase the graphics quality. Do you have any idea of the problem? THANKS
My screen is QHD and HDR10

Make sure those games are not running on the i7 13700k integrated graphics.

So your 6650xt is at 100% usage, with a **bleep** nice cpu.  Yep.  Sounds right. Where do you want the gpu usage at? Higher? And when you up the graphics, you get less frames. Yep, sounds right.

Want more from your cpu? Then lower the res, and all the graphics. Want more fps? and resolution/qual settings? Then get a decent gpu. Cheers.

EDIT- YOU ARE GPU BOUND. Like, big time.

Thanks and what good/very good gpu could go with my cpu?

I have to ask, what did you replace the 6650xt with ?  I cant even think what "upgrade" that would even be.

I would buy the best gpu you can afford if its that big of a deal to you.  Period. The 6650xt is slow, has almost zero vram ( most of your complaints above, all gpu usage/ on low settings and such) and is, well ... a turd. I cant even imagine what you replaced it with, having a 13700k in the rig also. Cheers.

Hi, I bought the 6650Xt for the Pc i had before that was pretty bad because  i hadn’t a graphic card and i used to play on the graphics of my Cpu. Now that i have my new Pc with the i7 13700k i did’t change my graphic card. That is why my Gpu is so bad compared to my new Pc

It sounds like your RX 6650 XT might be bottlenecking your system, especially with your QHD HDR10 monitor. Even though the 6650 XT is a decent card, it could struggle at higher resolutions and settings, especially in demanding games like Hogwarts Legacy. A few things you can try:

  1. Update drivers: Make sure your GPU drivers are up to date through AMD's Adrenalin software.
  2. Check power settings: Ensure your PC is set to 'High Performance' in the power settings to maximize performance.
  3. Adjust in-game settings: Stick to medium settings for now, as the 6650 XT isn't designed for high settings in QHD on newer games.
  4. Monitor temperatures: Overheating can throttle performance. Check if your GPU and CPU are running too hot during gameplay.
  5. Upgrade consideration: If you want to play on high or ultra settings in QHD, you might want to consider upgrading your GPU to something more powerful like an RX 6800 or an RTX 3070/3080 for a more balanced setup.

Hope this helps! Let me know if tweaking the settings makes any difference.
