Google and Parrells bringing local virtualization support of Windows apps to Chromebooks
If AMD ever needed a reason to cater to the Chromebook market, this is it. If this works out and really becomes a big hit and a viable platform, then Intel's new LittleBIG 4+1 chips could let them corner the market.
I wonder too if this will give Microsoft a reason to pause and rethink Windows 10X, since if Chromebooks are much less expensive yet can run those apps Microsoft deems unsuitable to run on Windows 10X, guess which device they'll use? Also since ChromeOS is free and Windows is not, can you imagine all the businesses switching to new ChromeOS machines instead of Windows 10, especially given Windows 10's update practices taxing the patience of IT departments so hard?
