AMD technical support suggested i seek assistance here on this topic.
I wish to monitor GDDR5 temperatures on my AMD GPU. Per the Elpida EDW2032BBBG data sheet, each GDDR5 memory chip features a "on-chip temperature sensor with read out". I have discussed the issue with the developer of hwinfo, who advises that an interface needs to be exposed for him to add support to read out the temperatures. I note that a monitoring interface is available for GDDR6 and i'm puzzled as to why the same hasn't been made available for GDDR5. I therefore would like to request an interface to allow the GDDR5 memory chip temperatures to be read out please.
