Hello! so ive never made a community post like this in my life, but im getting to the point where i am pissed off. Yesterday when i got off of work my friends wanted to play some fortnite and as i got on, before i could even get to the lobby screen Fortnite freezes, so i tab out and i see an extra tab saying this.

And if you are wondering what my specs are here they are

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
GPU: AMD Radeon 7600
RAM: 32gb of Ram

Back to my story, Keep in mind i Play on Direct X12 shaders and i have NEVER had a problem like this until NOW. 2 days ago when i played a game of fortnite with my friends it literally just ran normally like it did any other day but the very next day all of a sudden fortnite wants to have this problem. Whats even worse is the fact that this doesnt even happen for any other game BESIDES FORTNITE. i even play COD BO6 normally which says a lot because thats on the more demanding side so im really suprised that BO6 is running better than fortnite. If someone could Reach out as soon as possible and tell me whether or not fortnite is just in a weird mood or if i actually have to DOWNGRADE my AMD Software.

There are previous threads in this forum dealing with the same subject. Here is one example from Adrenalin 24.3.1 where Fortnite recommended installing 24.3.1 the same version the user already had.

In that thread the workaround was to switch to DX11 for the game render, OR simply click past the error and continue playing. If you're not having any issues with any other games it would seem to be more a compatibility issue with Fortnite rather than an incompatibility between Adrenalin 24.10.1 and DX12.

But even when i tried running it on DX11 i had even WORSE performance than i did on DX12 so what difference would it even make. But to sum it up you are basically telling me that my specs are no longer usefull and i will just get poor performance from this point on?

Not saying that at all. I'm pointing out that this particular title Fortnite, has a history of driver issues that unfortunately are only resolved by using a different driver version or using a workaround like DX11.

1. How do i even do that
2. That would literally affect every other game i have on my pc

Some will suggest that the best (only?) way to do this is use DDU or similar to completely remove all existing driver files before installing new ones.

I've simply installed whatever version I want on top of whatever version I've had, and it works fine for me. I went from 24.5.1 to 24.6.1 to 24.5.1 to 24.7.1 to 24.5.1 to 24.8.1 to 24.9.1 back to 24.5.1 in this manner. YMMV

Yes, unfortunately there is not an option to install multiple versions and specify which version to use for each game title. If you regularly play one title, install the best version that works for that title. If you regularly play multiple titles, you'll have to compromise and install the version that works best for all of them.

Go to the AMD webpage where you dowload the most recent driver, go to the bottom of the page and click on " previous drivers " and select the one you want from the list. 

One more thing, the radeon  software is working when you try to open it?

Sometimes windows update swaps the latest driver from AMD to a older crap version, it happened to me more than once, if this is the case use DDU to remove the driver and reinstall the software again.

No problem at all. Sometimes driver versions do not work as intended with certain games. Hopefully you are able to find a driver version that works for you!

This is not solved. Release stable drivers once and for all. 

I have to install different drivers to play different games ?!

Why are you directing this at me? I certainly don't make the drivers.

If you are having a driver issue open a separate thread and maybe someone can assist.
