Hello,.

I've Dell Inspiron 15-5565 laptop with AMD FX-9800P APU Which supports SO-DIMM DDR4 RAM with speed 1866 MHz,

Issue here Dell had installed RAM with 2400 MHz speed where the APU down clocked the RAM Speed to 1200 MHz.,

So i feel very low performance,

I searched for compatible RAM to buy (DDR4 SO-DIMM 1866) but i couldn't find., available is 2133 & 2400.

Please help me,

dell choose a very safe speed to work with but amd has a very good tool overclock also overclocking can be somewhat involved check the web for speed that others have gotten to work for your specific model it will save you a lot of grief to use settings that others have made work rather than trying by trial and error it is possible to damage things if you push to hard.

i don't need over clock but only sync ram clock with cpu

take your time with this tool and watch the heat if you are not running a

heat throttling program you should always run one in multicore cpu.

What app/program is showing 1200, don't forget DDR(double data rate is x 2 = 2400).

Have you contacted Dell support.

My APU maximum memory bandwidth is 1866
Windows task manager and CPU-Z shows speed 1200

And if my APU Support 2400 the data rate must become 4800 MHz
I contacted dell and i think it's their mistake is assembling components and they didn't help me

i think if i install 2x1600 will better but i can't find ddr4 with 1866 MHz
now i search for ddr3 compatibility to install it
I respected AMD so much and need to still

There are very few motherboards ddr3/4 switchable/compatible (haven't looked if any laptop models are).

Nope, the 2400 is the DDR rating.

Check in your BIOS settings, or try resetting bios.

Otherwise take the laptop to local repair shop, ask them to have a look at it.
