Best Value

I have been flip flopping between getting the 7600x, the 7800x3d, the 6800xt, the 7700xt, and the 7800xt and just dont know whether to spend more money to assure the longevity of my PC(this will be my first one) or to get a cheaper build with upgradeability. My budget is over a 1000$ dollars so I'm not TOO worried about overspending but do want to save as much as possible if it means a better future for my PC. I am even just contemplating waiting for the next releases of CPUs and GPUs but don't know if I can hold out with a cheap laptop for that long. Any advice on what to look for or what not to do would be appreciated, I mean, is it even a good time to build a PC? The more I look the timing feels awkward but I just know for sure.

What is the rig going to be used primarily for? Gaming or production?

That said, with all you mentioned, get the stacked cache variant for the cpu. Dig both of mine. (no production, all gaming here on both set ups- 7800x3d/7900xtx ref card on ek water block, 7800x3d/7900xtx Asrock aqua)

If your going with the 7000's series, you have a couple years of "upgrading" or support, with the x670 and now x870 boards coming out (they are basically the same thing) hell look how long am4 has been around.

The gpu,... thats more up to you, and what you want to spend to get.

Definitely a gamer. For production I wont need anything demanding(at most very light 3d rendering). I guess if the 7800X3d is worth all the hype ill have to jump on the wagon. As for the GPU the 7900xtx is the only one out of my budget so I'm still having trouble choosing between the 7700xt, the 6800xt and the 7800xt just because I don't know if the extra money is gonna be worth the extra performance.

If you're building a new PC from scratch definitely go AM5.

May want to consider the 7900GRE over the 7800XT.

6800XT only if it's a steal.

Yeah, I'm with FunkZ, get the 7900GRE if it fits the budget.

Whats the board you have in mind?

From my research I think the B650 is a pretty decent one that will give me the most for my money(so I can ball out on the GPU a little more)

The chipset won't limit you performance wise, but don't cheap out on the board too.

What is the budget you are allocating for the board? 200-300? 300-400?

I was hoping a good one would only cost me 150-200 not 300 O.O

A TUF B650E PLUS for about 200ish can be a great buy and decent to keep the 7800X3D happy.

But some of the best B650E boards will cost about 350/400

A r9 7800x3d with a Rx 7800xt would be great for anything in 1440p. A Rx 7900 gre would be a good option as well

Most mobo's will run a 7800x3d. (hell 4 of them) They dont need much, and i like your style, thinking you can put more towards a better/higher tier gpu. Wish ya luck, .. and happy gaming.
