They're not cheap for sure, but these do have a custom AMD chip in them.
I bet that Best Buy increased the retail price of the laptop by $50.00 to cover the $50.00 "free gift card". LoL
Nope, the same price as directly from Microsoft, but seriously, when you look at those prices...That's a lot to ask for what you get.
For those prices I would rather purchase top of the line hardware parts and build my own top rated PC Computer. But then again I have no real reason to have a laptop - Retired.
As you mentioned you can probably get a laptop as powerful or more powerful from another laptop manufacturer at a cheaper price.
