Sometimes I have to do some development work spanning PowerShell to the Linux shell
last job was installing some fiber for a client who wanted faster network, so i upgraded him to 100GBASE-xx hardware using OM3 single mode media. Cards are more than more than RTX 2080, much more. Spool of fiber was not cheap either. I have tools to connect the ends so the job was not very long.
after that I worked to tune the servers for the faster network to improve the performance. machines already were maxed out for memory. so was not much I could do outside of checking config files. the database server had 512GB of RAM on it.
