B450I R5 5600G x8x8 bifurcation

Hello all,

I recently bought a MSI B450I ITX and a 5600G to use the Bifurcation option.

I got a X8X8 risercard so i can run proxmox and have a GT1030 and a Mellanox connect-x 3 SFP+ card.

Bios is updated to latest stable and works without issues.

However, when i use the X8X8 option in PCIe lane configuration only one device will show up in proxmox.

When using the AUTO option the card in the lowest lanes is visible. When using the X8X8 setting the card in the highest lanes is only visible. (furthest from power)

I can't get my head around the issue.

Any idea what settings i am missing? or is this suppose to work? I have read a lot about Bios modification and maybe a bios mistake by AMD.

I wasn't planning on doing to much tech stuff since i am not that techsavy, But any help would be very appriciated.

SO i have

Msi B450I gaming AC

AMD rizen 5 5600G

KIOXIA Nvme 1TB

Corsair lpx vengeance 2x4GB

-on the risercard X16 to X8X8 with power-

MSI GT1030 graphics for Windows VM passthrough.

Mellanox connectx 3 dual 10Gb SFP+

Proxmox VE

The 5600G like all Cezanne processors only has 8x PCIe lanes support, so it can't run 8x/8x bifurcation.

You need a Vermeer chip.
