Another processor in the box
Hello,
My client received a new pre-packaged 2950X processor.
After opening the box, he claims that the model is 1900X instead of 2950X.
Is this possible at all?
Where can I advertise this? Urgent case.

What does the imprint on the heatspreader say? How is the client coming to the conclusion that they received a 1900x?
It very well is possible that may have happened, just have to confirm it.

He opened the box and found that there was another model inside.
So in this case, there are SN bar codes assigned to this box.
What can you do in this situation?
My supplier is washing my hands. He claims that this is not possible ...

If your supplier doesn't want to exchange the CPU (Find another more trustworthy supplier) try opening a AMD Warranty Request from here: AMD Warranty Request Form | AMD .
Explain to them what occurred plus include the Receipt and photos of both the Box the processor came in plus the CPU processor.
Here is how to fill out the AMD Warranty Request:
NOTE: Did the box look like it was tampered with? Possibly someone replaced the original more expensive Processor with the cheaper 1st generation processor before sending it to you.
