AMD Radeon RAM memory

Last years in ex-USSR states there have been distributed RAM memory sticks and SSD branded "AMD Radeon". In particulary I have such RAM modules installed in my home PC. There is also a popular opinion that such memory modules have nothing to do with the original AMD brand and de-facto are illegal Asian fakes. How true is that? Did AMD actually produce "AMD Radeon" RAM and SSD directly or through third site manufacturers?

It is true that AMD has previously licensed 3rd parties such as Patriot and VisionTek to manufacture and sell memory and storage components labelled with the "AMD Radeon" brand.

Press release on "AMD Radeon Memory Entertainment Series" line of DDR3 modules.

Here's a more recent Reddit post detailing some of the products and packaging available.

The first article is actually interesting.

In the reddit post all youtube links direct to a Ukrainian account and some photos had ben attached to the post without links to official sites. I wonder if such products are famous outside of ex-USSR territory.

There have been publications in Russian that such RAM modules have information about the manufacturer with non-existing AMD web-site based  in Honk Kong.

I have a 256Gb R7 SSD from OCZ, so yes, they are the real deal.

Cool thing.
