Hi there. I would like to know if maximum supported frequency for 2DPC 1R and 2R is dependent on CPU or purely on motherboard?

Example: R5 7600X runs memory at 5200MHz in 1DPC 1R and 2R and 3600MHz in 2DPC 1R and 2R, while 2DPC 2R for mobo supports max 5400MHz - Does RAM then run on 3600MHz in 2DPC 1R and 2R, or 5400MHz that is supported by mobo in OC aka EXPO?

Tried to find an answer everywhere, no luck, and I need info before cashing out on a new AM5 build(moving from Intel).

You need to check with the motherboard manufacturer what speeds they support for 1DPC (one DIMM per channel ie. a 2x DIMM memory kit) vs. 2DPC (two DIMMs per channel aka a 4x DIMM memory kit)

The question as to 1R (single rank) or 2R (dual rank) isn't as important unless you're looking at large capacity DIMMs. Most DDR5 will be single rank but check with the memory manufacturer for this.

Go to your Motherboard's QVL List for RAM for your processor and see which RAM Part Numbers and their Maximum speeds are listed.

Also you can check the RAM Manufacturer's QVL List for your RAM Part number and see if it is compatible with your motherboard or not.
