Recently windows update introduced the new Windows driver with a newer release date, this means that the driver is often automatically updated even during gaming. I turned off the auto update but it happened again. I actually would use it too, but for the windows driver there is no way for me to install the software. The original software is not detected and windows offers no control panel with the same options as in the original software package.
When asking chat gpt or copilot and also reading online, everyone recommends custom install without the driver, but the software actually does not have a custom install option for me. There is just the usual reset card, full install or minimal install.
Is there a solution how to use the windows driver with software or is it for now not so useful, especially when you want the options from the software.
