- I've had this computer for about a year now.
Gpu RX6700S.
Ryzen 9
Installed new update. After restarting the system. Everything looked as usual.
Checked out the new features of the update. Turned on fluid frames.
Booted up Elden Ring. System was stuttery
Frame counter said it was running at 120fps.
This game targets 60fps and does not have a 120 mode.
Tried to manually change the frame rate using adrenalin. 60 fps, 75, 30. System was unresponsive. Stayed running at 120fps.
Tried redient evil 4. Lots of stutters and picture would stall and freeze.
Both of these games I have never had any issue running until this update. They are both very stable games.
Restarted System again. Adrenalin will not launch. Tried key commands alt z and alt r.
Did not launch. Opened up task manager.
Clicked on AMD software. Saw it open up in my queue. It would open 5 times (5). Then slowly close one by one. Tried running it again. Same thing.
Uninstalled adrenalin drivers and reinstalled fresh ones from AMD.
No dice. Same thing. Adrenalin will not launch.
Any help? I've seen similar threads and some solutions call for reinstalling windows.
Which I'm pretty hesitant to do.
Thanks
