These 7000 series chips really do cool off by just the slightest adjustment.

If you own a 7000 series and are experiencing high temp spikes, try setting all cores to -10, im at a comfortable 40c idle and 65-68 while gaming now compared to the 50c idle and 75-79c gaming temps

Just to clarify, you're talking about using Curve Optimizer to set a negative 10 value on all cores, correct?

CO is part of PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive) settings and can typically be found in the AMD Overclocking section of the motherboard BIOS, or the Curve Optimizer menu page within Ryzen Master.

I'm assuming its Curve optimizer, and that is a good way to improve both performance and better temperatures in the majority of the cases.

As long as you have headroom to improve, it will try to boost.

A good cooler and a good board will be important.

What can you do next?

You can try going -15 or more, many users can go -30. Those with more patience will figure out the best cores and do a per core Curve Optimizer. Some will push up the boost with a +200mhz factor other will raise the SCALAR. There are many options to make the AMD CPU's do the extra mile with less temperatures. I can cool the 7950X with a 240 AIO Radiator and still achieve 5.8ghz boost.
