One of the additions made to streamline your experience with Radeon™ Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition, are the software profiles. When you first run Radeon™ Software, you’ll be asked to choose a profile, designed to get you started quickly and easily. You will choose a profile which best suits how you game as in the screenshot below.

This simple wizard helps users configure Radeon™ Software to provide the best experiences based on your needs. Each profile is broken down in the chart below

The Standard profile is the basic set of defaults, while the Gaming Profile is best suited when you are a gamer, who needs good performance and wants the best visuals.

The Esports Profiles enable a few extra Radeon™ Software features meant to enhance the gaming experience, with a focus on performance.

The Power Saver Profile is designed to regulate performance and save power, available to all Radeon™ Software users but ideal for mobile gamers.

Let’s quickly cover what each of the features that can be enabled for each profile contribute.

Radeon™ Chill

Dynamically regulates framerate based on your in-game movements. Radeon Chill caps framerates within a specific range so you’re not working the graphics card harder than necessary.  Let’s use the example of a first-person shooter. When you’re standing still or barely moving, Radeon Chill will push your framerates down. Once you start to move and to engage with enemy, Radeon Chill will instantaneously raise the frame rate for seamless, fluid gameplay.

Radeon™ Image Sharpening

Delivers crisp, high-quality upscaling and sharpening. Enabling this feature will enhance visual fidelity with minimal performance impact. Once enabled you can use this feature in two ways, to get better more beautiful visuals or to run at lower resolutions to help improve performance and efficiency without giving up much image clarity.

AMD FreeSync™

Functions by synchronizing the refresh rate of the display with the framerate of AMD FreeSync-compatible graphics cards, reducing or eliminating visual artifacts that many users are especially sensitive to: input latency, screen tearing, and stuttering during gaming.

Radeon™ Anti-Lag

This feature works by minimizing the amount of time between a gamer pressing a key or moving the mouse and having that response show up on the screen. This feature manages CPU and GPU workloads to facilitate more responsive gaming.

Easily streamline and tailor your gaming experience to you with Radeon™ Software profiles. Get these features and more when you download Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition.
