AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition continues to evolve with our gaming community. Gamers and creators can now take advantage of built-in technologies and features that help improve video and text quality, for a better streaming experience. Achieve higher performance and quality when you combine AMD Software with the new AV1 hardware encode support found on the Radeon RX 7900 Series graphics.
Level Up Your Streaming
AMD Software is packed with exciting new features that delivers even greater experiences. Firstly, is the Enhanced Filtering feature found within AMD Software. At the click of a toggle, you can now deliver an instant boost to image quality when streaming and recording through AMD Software, leading to You can find the toggle by clicking on the Settings gear icon in the top-right of AMD Software, then navigating to the Display tab and then toggle on the feature.
The second new addition to AMD Software, is the streaming; now when you stream using AMD Software, the pre-analysis feature will analyze the video frames being output before encoding to optimize streaming image quality. That way, when you go to view your highlights or show your friends the latest clips, you'll be able to avoid stuttering frames and jittery visual quality, and instead be able to enjoy smooth replay of your games.
Last but not least, is the Content Adaptive Machine Learning feature that uses pre-trained machine learning to improve text overlay quality at low-bitrates (1080p and below). Visual text such as your in-game HUD, damage/ammo counter, or subtitles on screen will display more clearly, providing an enhanced gaming experience for you to enjoy and record.
All-New Support For AV1 Encode
Experience greater quality streaming with the integration of the AV1 hardware encoder found on the Radeon RX 7900 Series graphics. Unleash the power of AV1 with support for up to 8K@60fps video streams. Take your streaming to new heights with the additional use of B-frames in H.264 codec and set yourself apart from the competition now through the latest AV1 encode support in AMD Software.
To support this even further, OBS has partnered with AMD to add support for the AMD AV1 encoder on the latest RX 7000 series graphics. You can experience the greater performance in streaming today through the current beta version of OBS (29.0 Beta 2) or download the public release version of OBS later in December. If you are not on the latest Radeon graphics, OBS will also support the RX 6000 series graphics and older with AVC support for the built-in pre-analysis and Content Adaptive Machine Learning features.(1)
Clarity Without Compromise
When you're streaming to an audience, great audio goes hand in hand with great visuals, and delivers by reducing background audio noise from your surrounding environment. Through working on both your input and output, you can achieve not only clearer communications to, but also from your teammates, providing greater clarity and less distractions – allowing you to stay locked-in when gaming. When AMD Noise Suppression is being run, there is a lower impact on game performance vs. competitive solutions, in some cases, almost 4x less performance impact.(2)(3)(4) Additionally, when playing your favourite games and AMD Noise Suppression is enabled, there is lower frame rate variance vs. software available from the competition. You can now avoid more dropped frames when streaming to your friends, and focus on gameplay, leading to more consistency and a better overall gaming experience.(2)(3)(4) Lastly, AMD Noise Suppression also delivers a better overall quality than the competition; your mic will sound clearer to your streaming audience with more background noise eliminated, rather than your own voice being cut out at unnecessary times.(2)(3)(4)
