It's been said that the human eye cannot tell the difference between 2K & 4K resolution...  so, why is 8K going to be any different?  I'm curious.

There are more than 2x more pixels on a 4K display than a 1440p one. You'll definitely notice this on a bigger monitor/TV I think.

I suppose if you're gaming on a 72" TV then 8K Resolution would be nice...  I think it's pointless on anything smaller than that. *shrug*

It is all about pixel density. I can tell the difference between 4k and 2k on something as small as a 27" display. I can see the difference between 4k and 8k in as small as 55" TV. This is mostly due to me having seen no 8k TVs smaller than 55".

I don't think I will invest in 8k any time soon, but there is a difference.
