I just recently bought a new mouse and a sleeve that reduces friction when moving my arm along the top of my table.
I like to think it helps with shooters but I truly don't know if it does or not. I have used it to play COD for about two weeks and I feel like I am doing better.
This could also be that my new mouse is a little less than half the weight of my old G502 Hero which was about 120 grams. It's the Fnatic X Lamzu Thorn.
I am used to the sleeve already so I will continue to use it.
How do you feel about sleeves for gaming?
I haven't tried one but I understand the concept of reducing friction. Where did you buy your sleeve?
I bought it on Amazon for like 20$. It helps a lot if you have a hard surface mouse pad like glass. I feel like it has helped with my cloth desk pad too.
I didn't know this was a thing, but it looks really silly to me. My guess would be the sleeve helps more with sweat than friction reduction.
It does look a bit silly, but I am horrible at games and I like to think the reason I do well in some shooters now is because of it. lol. It is probably the placebo effect. XD
I've seen a few eSports pros use sleeves for competitive games. Always thought they seemed interesting... but I'm too lazy to want to put one on every time I game. 😂
I feel that. I only play a few games that I feel like it needs, like MWIII, Warzone, and The Finals.
What about World of Tanks - Blitz?
I need to try World of Tanks again. It has been years since I last gave it a go.
I forgot about the Finals! How's the community in that been?
The game is doing pretty good. I haven't had anyone toxic in a match in a long time. I also don't play ranked in most games, so that could be a contributing factor.
It's pretty good. A couplke of my PS5 buddies and I play it from time to time, and we'll occasionally get one of the other PC guys we used to play Rogue Company with in when he's not getting trashed in Xdefiant.
it also helps a lot on a soft surface!!!
luckily I have experienced seamstresses in the family and
had a sleeve made from the best fabric available.
I would never want to play without it again because if I do,
I spend many hours on the computer!
- the mouse pad is protected from sweat and abrasion from my arm for longer!!!
- lower and always even resistance (which is reflected positively in the aiming statistics)
- and I am someone who is bothered by every single piece of fluff, which has also been reduced to the maximum
👍 👍 👍 👍
I can't even wear a long sleeve shirt. This is a hard pass.
I don't have rounded corners on my desk, and sharper edges have definitely bothered my arm after long hrs of gaming. I can see use for this in my case. Cheaper than a new desk....
