Do the AMD Ryzen 5 with Radeon RX Vega 11 Graphics benefit from a discrete graphics card??

I would not buy a APU with the sole purpose of adding a graphics card! But if I owned one and decided I needed more graphics power to play better games   I for sure would add a discrete graphics card!

lets say it this way:

you have only 600$ to spend for your next Rig and want to upgrade in 3-4 month after your birthday/christmas/bank-robbery

then you could buy a Ryzen 5 3400G (4C/8T + iGPU) and game on this for these 3-4 month
then 3-4 months later you buy a RX5500XT (more wouldnt be needed)

but if you have 800$ now you would be better of with a Ryzen 1600AF + RX5600XT + 2x8GB DDR4-3200CL16 


ps - when my Office-PC gets replaced i will use its Ryzen 5 2400G with a RX560 - as a spare ITX-Built for LanPartys
