as this doesn't happen on every game would it be my drivers that are causing my game to constantly crash? even though my drivers are up to date.
Bro I don't crash on every game but man, PUBG crashes is driving me nuts.
Try to lower your clocks on GPU and RAM by 50MHz and check if it helps.

yeah bro, I put 2060MHz, 1095mV with VRAM of 1770MHz and it was golden lol. I'm using 20.9.1 drivers as I found out that latest drivers cause crashes if i do all this.
Questions for everyone who replied here:
1) Are you using more than 1 monitor?
2) Are you using HDMI and DisplayPort at the same time?
3) What refresh rate are you using?
4) Do you get crashes with only 1 monitor connected?
It is interesting to hear that a factory OC'ed card runs better with underclocking.
So I was wondering if it would run better with just 1 monitor, if someone can check that.
I recently started testing the driver issues on my own (new) RX 5700 XT.
the only thing that worked to prevent crashes:
is the 5700 XT stable now? - reset to driver defaults (link to other topic)
I hope this will help you, too.
