Bonjour
Merci
Hello
I bought a Radeon 7 and since I crash when I play video games.
I tried to reinstall drivers, test solutions on the internet, update my Windows, make a clean driver and even after a reinstallation of Windows the problem still persists.
You can see my Dxdiag and tell me if I forgot something
or tell me if you have a solution to my problem.
Thank you
hi - ENGLISH pls (i dont write here on german too)
0. WHAT SPECS DOES YOUR PC HAS
1. check your temps
2. do you have a high ram-oc
3. do you have a high cpu-oc
4. is your GPU oced?
5. does your GPU have a modded bios on?
6. what games are you playing? modded? cracked?
7. reinstall windows - or before use DDU in safe-mode to clean and reinstall driver
Hello Benman2785 ,
0. PC SPECS : - Motherboard : X470 PRO CARBON
- Cpu : AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 4.2 Ghz
- VGA : AMD Radeon 7
- RAM : 16 Go Sniper X DDR4 3400 MHz
- M2/HDD : Samsung SSD 970 Evo 500Go & Seagate Barracuda Pro 1 To
- Power : Be quiet Straight Power 800 W
1. My temps are fine, My temp are Good CPU AT 50° in GTA 5 and my VGA temp are not upper 67° (My Fan Profile)
2. No
3. Just normal turbo boost at 4.2 Ghz
4. No, Stock Clock (hi have try to underclock it but the crash are the same)
5. No modded Bios
6. It Crash on Official Game like : GTA5, League Of Legend, Esport Tycoon, Game Dev Tycoon, Counter Strike Go and so many others games. all game Official (Not cracked)
7. I have already reinstall my windows and I have tried to clean my driver but the crash are still here.
also have a randeon 7 and it seems to also of crashed with this driver update now i no longer can play a game called runescape at all and the rest of my pc is laggy as fk....
due to the recent driver crash to do withe updating drivers it literally messed up my whole pc made it lag fest wasn't able to play games as simple as runescape, able to load videos on youtube anything i messed about for 7hours trying to get rid of drivers etc nothing worked so i rebooted pc back to windows install now works fine again (might be worth a look into)
how is your ram clocked - because if games crash back into windows without error its often a faulty RAM oc tt
like with latest agesa i can only run 3400CL14 with my Ripjaws V 3200CL14 - before i was able to run 3466 or 3533CL14 without crashing.
try RAM at 2933MHz with CL14 or 16 - if games doesnt crash anymore its your RAM-OC (XMP is OC too)
this is my ram https://www.ldlc.com/fr-be/fiche/PB00246857.html not OC
but i am trying on lower without Xpm
for test i tell u if crash comme
the problem must come from my Radeon 7 or one of its drivers
because if I put a gtx1070 in my pc it never crash
Hi,
I think benman2785 has a very good point about RAM speed.
The memory controller on Ryzen and many X470 motherboards seem very sensitive to electrical noise.
That Radeon 7 may be pulling lots of power compared to a GTX1070, causing enough additional noise to corrupt RAM data during read or write.
Try download and run Memtest86 before you launch into Windows and make sure it passes all tests at the CPU and RAM clocks and voiltages you have set in your current BIOS.
MemTest86 - Official Site of the x86 Memory Testing Tool
If it doesn't pass then you need to reconsider and change your RAM Speed and CPU clock settings and voltages in BIOS.
Once you get it to pass Memtest86 you should then be able to boot into Windows 10.
If the changes in CPU clock frequency or RAM frequency are large, you might hit problems getting Windows 10 to boot so I advise you create a "Windows 7 style system backup" or simply clone the hard drive.
Once you boot into Windows 10 you now have the possibility of running a game which will use both on your CPU and GPU, so you may still have problems with Ram Corruption due to electrical noise.
I found a tool that can test RAM in Windows 10 when you run your GPU.
It is here: RAM Test - Karhu Software
You should be able to look at the effect on passing RAM Test tests versus GPU Power slider whist you run a game benchmark for example.
Bye.
every XMP is an OC!
usually DDR4 runs with 2133 - your kit runs with 3400CL16 = XMP = OC
here you can see my ram configuration : dav — imgbb.com
MemTest86 is ok > 0 Error
Karhu Software cannot buy it for the time
i have run Memtest 64 on Windows 10 >> 0 Error
OK . That was quick. Memtest86 running on my Ryzen 2700X takes many hours to run just one pass of all 13 tests with a single 3200MHz 16GB stick running at SPD speed. You should be run at least 4 passes completely clean with no errors.
I took a look at Memtest 64 on Windows 10 - note the warning about Ram test size limitations.
The Karhu Software will test all free RAM.
RE "Memtest86 running on my Ryzen 2700X takes many hours to run just one pass of all 13 tests with a single 3200MHz 16GB stick running at SPD speed."
That is - running from a USB stick, before I boot into Windows.
thank you hi gonna let this run this night at 2933 mhz
you run your RAM at 3400MHz - that is FAST and most likely the problem here (with latest agesa i am only able to run my ram at 3400CL14 - before i was able to run it 3533CL14)
so update your MoBos Bios
try to run RAM as 2933MHz CL14 or CL16 and test again!
dont run Memtest64 on Windows - get a linux live stick and test it there - and let it atleast pass 5x (takes some hours; some people say 10x)
if run under Windows you cant test all ram - and there 10x is a must

Thanks.
my turbo boost is at 4.15 Ghz
U think come back to Base clock 3.7 Ghz is better ?
if the game crash than its a RAM error
If Windows is crashing then try this to help debug the cause:
Blue screen of death (STOP error) information in dump files.
Next crash hi gonna show u my BlueScreenView
hi am gonna put my ram at 2933 mhz CL16 and Run a Memtest this night
hi tell u tomorow if this work
thank you everyone for Help me
i dont have blue screen just a crash.
ok guys : - remove game boost on MSI bios
- Put my XPM off
- Set my Ram at 2933 Mhz in CL16
Last night i dont crash if i dont crash this night , it is that problem is solved.
So i post tomorrow for tell u that
I Hope for not having Crash
Thank u for ur Help.
Excellent, good news.
as i said - its an unstable RAM-OC
Next week i am gonna up my clock Ram and find the better clock without crash
Ok for the time hi dont crash but this night iam gonna try GTA5.
Sorry for the Delay i just come back from the work and now i go sleep
Next News Tomorrow
3 days without crash Thank you all for your help
glad i could help

Bye.
So the Final Post
Thank you to benman2785 and colesdav for ur help .
This is how my Crash is fix : 1 : Remove my Game Boost on MSI Bios ( or remove other OC Bios )
2 : Set XPM Disable on Bios
3 : UnderClock my Ram at 2933 Mhz In CL16 ( BaseClock 3400 Mhz in CL16 )
Thank you. You should be able to mark your explanation above as the correct answer.
