Radeon 18.10.1 causes everything to freeze every 7 seconds for a second.

Well, I'm on the Windows 10 1809 update and I noticed the 18.10.1 driver is up and adds support for this version of Windows. Problem is the new driver causes everything to freeze every 7 seconds for a second. When is AMD going to release a hotfix for this issue? 

I'm on a Radeon RX580, Ryzen 2700X, Aorus x470 Ultra Gaming. Everything is up to date.

Why would this happen?

Hello,

Did you used a tool called DDU to clean the old drivers before installing the new one.
I would advice a clean install with DDU, with the safe mode option enabled, to clean the AMD driver in safe mode.

Yeah I just tried it and the bug is still there. Will report again to AMD.

If cleaning the new drivers with DDU and reinstalling the previous drives solve the issue, most likely there is something wrong with the new driver and your system specs, OS, software installed.
Just revert to the previous one and wait the next batch to leverage if the issue was fixed.
Also double check your chipset drives are up date.
