does your GPU support ZERO-Fan?
that will cause your GPU-Fan to stop spinning when your GPU is "cold enough" - to reduce noise
did 19.1.1 fixed your problem?
It did not fix.
When it reaches high rotation it takes a long time to return to normal.
In the latest drivers.
ahhh
1. what version?
2. what os?
3. which gpu?
4. what is your error?
you are infront of your pc not me (or any other here) and so YOU have to be our ears, eyes and hands...
1. what version?
versions as of 18.12.1
2. what os?
win10 pro 64bits
3. which gpu?
radeon sapphire pulse rx580 8gb sku#11265-05
4. what is your error?
It hits high rotation in the fan the counter freezes and then takes a long time to return to zero fan
1. update to 19.1.2
4. what are your gpu-temps?
4a. did you have a modded bios?
4b. did you change the fan-curve?
1. update to 19.1.2
same problem
4. what are your gpu-temps?
idle 40~45. gaming 60~70
4a. did you have a modded bios?
never
4b. did you change the fan-curve?
changing so the problem continues
now using 18.12.1.1
how long does it takes to reduce fan-speed?
usually when you hit 75°C it needs ~10s for your GPU to cool down after load ended
7 ~ 10 minutes.
Depending on which version I'm using takes a lot longer.
18.12.1.1 is normal.
www.amd.com/report pls report bug here
I've done that I've never had a response to another problem.
usually you wont get a response on that - if its an code error it will be fixed soon
but please use www.amd.com/report - that is your direct "contact" to the driver devs - yet contact means that they hear your problem
your "answer" will most likely be "changelog" of new driver
Okay, I'll do it.
Try using MSI Afterburner to set a custom fan profile. I don't even use the AMD tool for overclocking or fans.
