FSR 3.1 discussion

Since we have an annoucement for FSR 3.1...

1. Would it be possible to make FSR more like DLSS in terms of being able to replace the older version with the new one without waiting for the developers? Many games are left at FSR 2.0 status and won't be updated anymore (like God of War for example), which is the shame if technology progresses and we have to use the old one...

2. Any possibility AMD will finally utilise AI accelerators in the RDNA3 architecture?

3. Will CP2077 be pushed to 3.1, since they're quite reluctant to update FSR implementation on a regular basis (another good reason for point 1 - XeSS is at 1.2 version that came out H2 2023, while FSR is still at 2.1...)?

no, not possible the way these differ in implementation. FSR is not a black box DLL but an open source code to implement.

IMO AMD needs to up the game (pun intended) in quality control on studios implementations. They need to offer better developer support so that code ist ready for future upgrades and even more so not implementend with missconceptions and flaws from the start.

Microsoft is way too late but DirectSR will standardize implementations anyhow. That should solve some of the problems and eliminate hurdles that were put upon devs the last yrs.
