my monitor supports freesync technology, but i can't find it in my amd software, the display tab just doesn't exist
Are you using a Display Port (DP) cable? Are you running with integrated graphics? Do you have a GPU installed? You need to tell us more about your system. Here is some information on the Freesync Technology from AMD.
yes i use display port, my amd card is integrated into the processor, and my discrete video card is nvidia.
Try removing the nVidia GPU and running with just the integrated graphics to see if the setting becomes available again.
How to disable dGPU in BIOS?
What does 'dGPU' mean? Discrete GPU or digital GPU? You go into the motherboards BIOS and look for the graphics settings. Maybe you search on IGPU or something similar within the BIOS.
I also tried using HDMI cable but it didn't work.
If the monitor is connected to the discrete nVidia card then use the nVidia control panel to enable Freesync/G-sync.
If the monitor is connected to the motherboard for the AMD IGP then use the Adrenalin. (not sure why you would do this though when you have an nVidia card)
it could be due to an outdated driver or unsupported GPU. Try these steps:
Update AMD drivers: Use the latest version from AMD's website.
Check GPU compatibility: Only certain AMD GPUs support FreeSync.
Verify connection: Use a DisplayPort or compatible HDMI cable, as FreeSync may not work over older HDMI versions.
If it’s still missing, reinstall AMD Software or check if FreeSync is enabled in your monitor’s settings.
