AMD Micro Computers

So Intel has this thing called a NUC. They are very powerful (I have one, and it is really powerful and low price). They are no bigger than a Nintendo Wii. I was wondering if AMD has anything like that, preferably Ryzen Based.

The NUC has ram and graphics in the board itself, but I am thinking that AMD should make one that has built in RAM and supports APUs, but has RAM and PCI slots and a removable APU that uses the AM4 socket. I am wondering if there is already something out like this that is AMD powered.

but zotac has some ZBox with AMD APUs
like with A4-5000 or A8-5545m

but i bet there will be some Ryzen 2500U soon

There aren't a lot of case options for building your own either.  Really seems like an underserved market.

case options are alot of ITX-cases
but there is no mobile Ryzen based itx board so far
and only ryzen you can put in small itx cases are Ryzen 5 2400G (and undervolt) or Ryzen 5 1500X (or lower)

Most ITX cases included room for GPUs, PSUs and 2.5/3.5 drive bays.  All wasted space for this type of build.

I think Gigabyte still has AMD-based Brix systems.

Of course, like the others suggest, you can go mini-ITX, and get more bang for the buck possibly, depending on your shopping skills.  You'll definitely get better cooling than a Brix.

My wife and I have three systems, my main rig ("The Legendary Black Beast of Aaargh!"), my portable rig ("The Honeycomb Hideout) in a Corsair Graphite 380T mini-ITX chassis, and my wife's rig in a Lian Li PC-Q18B mini-ITX chassis.

Mini-ITX is extremely versatile, and you can get everything from tiny cases that look like a mac mini in form factor, up to cases like the Deepcool Tristellar SW or the NZXT Manta in size (or the Corsair Graphite 380T, if you can find one now, and want to spend the $500+ people want for them now).

Word of advice, if you find an ITX case you like, but aren't sure if it'll be around long, grab it now.  That's what I did in June 2015 with the 380T, and got it in the Newegg Summer Sale for $69.99 after rebates.  Sat on that case for three years until this year before I even had a system in it.

My personal favorite mini-ITX case is the Deepcool Tristellar SW.  It just looks so freaking cool, despite it's size, and it's built like a freaking tank, but you pay for it ($200 USD).  I have two of them in the back room awaiting builds.

Since the OP is asking about a NUC.  You would want a case that fits mini-itx, RAM, an M.2 drive, CPU, low profile cooler, and nothing else.

Ultra low profile HTPC chassis.

They have quite a few of those die-cast aluminum cases about the size of a mac mini on aliexpress.  i forget the company, but there is one huge company making rather nice ones in the $60 USD range.  I've seen them in anodized black, red, and silver.  As long as you don't have high thermals, those are nice.
