7 FPS in Fortnight with new AMD GPU

5800x3d CPU

3600 16 Gigs Ripjaws RAM

500 gig WD black m.2

Asrock 7900XTX GPU

Recently got a 7900XTX , upgraded my old 1080TI , Completed the DDU in "Safe mode" all that jazz, un-installed ALL Nvidia software. No matter what I did, Fortnight wouldn't use the 7900XTX and was trying to run on the CPU? Un-installed and reinstalled the game, deleted all game folders. Updated my bios and the only thing that fixed it was re-installing windows.

This post is really just to help others in the future and kind of curious what the issue could have been?

If you have any ideas what could have been the issue please post a reply below as I'm surely not the only person to run into this issue.

I would have disabled the integrated graphics of the CPU in the motherboard's BIOS settings before going through all those changes.  Were other games using the 7900 XTX before you re-installed Windows?

Every other game ran just fine, And the 5800x3d doesn't have an integrated gpu. Was just very weird watching a game run at exactly 7 fps while the rest were fine. Not sure how reinstalling windows changed anything. Re-installed epic launcher with no change also.
