hi all recently i had this issue few days back whenever i game it will crash and leave me a black screen while the rest of the cpu is still lit. 

long story short, tried many methods and found out when i use 60hz and cap it at display based FPS it will work fine. im testing now with the custom fps to see how far can i go ; 60-100fps seems fine.

im using a 144hz monitor @ 1080 resolution. 

specs below:

Ryzen 7 3700X

MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon

powercolor 5700xt red devil 16GB

Corsair Pro RGB 3200MHz (2*8GB)

512GB Lexar SSD Toshiba 

Seasonic Core 650watt Gold

This thread had 150+ people that reported having the same issue. It was the most popular one among the other threads about 5700xt issues. I bet amd deleted it on purpose so it wont ruin their 5700 xt sales. They deleted other popular 5700 xt threads as well that I was following!

This is AMD's Community Forum so it is up to the moderators what they do.
You may ask them why the threads have been deleted or are locked or whatever.

Does it also crash when in 1080p@144 on the desktop? Do you have freesync enabled, or enhanced sync?

check the enhanced sync setting in the game profile, turn it off and check if the game still crashes/blackscreens..

But it could also be the cable (HDMI/DP), drivers, or Windows pop-up .. that still happens in some titles
