windows / adrenalin software is installing ASUS driver to my XFX gpu

I have an older model, XFX Radeon 460 4gb edition (it is not an AMD 2gb version), the last usable driver was 24.1.1 but when it updates to the current driver for that model 24.3.1 it install an ASUS driver instead of a generic AMD driver compatible with XFX and other third-party reseller, and that IS NOT a simple name I can ignore, because is messing up HDR and completely disabling Freesync, as well as causing fullscreen games to go haywire, this is not something that was happening with a non-branded driver for a third-party GPU, I've tried DDU, tried manually deleting the driver's files, I tried forcefully replacing the files, still not dice, and thus I can't use any of the features and have degraded performance in some cases, someone help me do something about that

A number of users have reported Adrenalin misidentifying their older Radeon cards as ASUS rather than the true manufacturer since version 24.1.1, however it's an error in name only. It is not installing an "ASUS" driver instead of an "XFX" driver, the driver files are all AMD and the same for every RX 460 card regardless of manufacturer.

too bad is not an issue in name only, like I said above, it's messing up HDR and completely disabling Freesync, I can't even user Super Resolution, and have degraded performance in some games, reverting back to 24.1.1 somewhat relief those issues but that is far from ideal, and apparently it's not allowing the mislabel graphics card to be updated, there should be a new compatible driver for m GPU, I think it should be 24.4.1 but now, but it seems it are still stuck with the 24.3.1 because of this ASUS issue

I turn off driver updates in windows and adrenaline and handle it all myself. Download the driver you want from AMD. Disconnect from internet. DDU wipe everything for AMD GPU. This should delete all driver store drivers too. Reboot. Install new drivers with factory reset option. Then after restart from new drivers. Reconnect to internet.

The disconnect from internet prevent windows from installing anything automatically.
