When I go into the speaker sound test in windows, there is a marked LAG of about a second or 3 when the effect appears on the screen and the sound plays.

This is happening on my AVR over HDMI and on my BenQ monitor over Display Port.

This makes watching movies really unejoyable because of the audio lag.

The issue isn't my monitor or my AVR as the issue happens on BOTH and it's the same issue.

I tried a few fixes I've found but they don't really work, there's one that has you edit the powerstates in the registry, that one doesn't work either.

I have an AMD 6650XT.

It appears that you are experiencing audio lag issues with both HDMI and DisplayPort outputs on your desktop system running Windows 11. The lag occurs when playing sound during the speaker sound test and while watching movies on both your AVR and BenQ monitor.

You've already tried some fixes, including editing power states in the registry, but they didn't resolve the problem. It's important to note that this issue is not specific to your monitor or AVR since it occurs on both devices.

As you mentioned having an AMD 5650XT GPU, it's possible that the GPU drivers may be contributing to the audio lag problem. To address this, try updating your GPU drivers to the latest version available from AMD's website. Newer drivers often include bug fixes and performance improvements that may help resolve such issues.

If updating the GPU drivers does not solve the problem, you can also try updating your motherboard's chipset drivers to the latest version provided by AMD. Chipset drivers can sometimes affect overall system performance, including audio functionality.

If the issue persists after updating the drivers, you may want to explore the possibility of other software conflicts or settings that could be causing the audio lag. For instance, check if there are any background applications or processes hogging system resources that could impact audio performance.

Tried all of those things, nothing works.

My monitors and equipment are FINE.

I know they're fine because when I use the analog 3.5mm speakers there's NO LAG.

This means that the ISSSUE is the SOURCE of the DP and HDMI which is the Graphics Card.

There's something wrong with he GPU.
