Screen Brightness decreases when power not plugged in

Before installing AMD Driver on my HP elitebook G6 i can completely control the brightness when plugged in or not

After installing the driver through windows 10 update when plugged in i can.fully control the Brightness 

But when not plugged in the Brightness is dimmed and i can't increase it although it's maximum value

It's like it goes into adaptive mood or screen saver although there nothin with battery saving or power saving or adaptive display

Try to install the drivers of your Notebook with HPs Software instead of Windows. Sadly Windows Update drivers are unreliable.

I've attached a link to the HP website where you can download the HP Support Assistant that will search the correct drivers for your device once installed. Don't get fooled by pop-ups when first opening it, you don't need to create an account, just wait 10 seconds and a option will appear to go ahead without it.
