Thanks for this.
The things I did notice was improved stability of freesync with rx vega l( no flickering issues in games ).
Running 19.5.2 vs pro 19q2 withvega 64 with a wx 4100 along side it was like running 19q2 in group c mode.
I just removed the wx4100 card to regain functionality of Adrenaline driver stack. The wx4100 doesn't play nice with the adrenaline drivers but the pro drivers do cover the vega 64.
This in itself says something about the pro drivers being less about cutting and more about stability from the outset.
Yes the pro drivers claim is they are extensively tested on a number of different ISV "Professional Applications", on AMD "Pro " Workstation GPU's.
All the information about it is here: https://www.amd.com/en/technologies/radeon-pro-software
If you want to find out information on driver support for particular application you can go here:https://www.amd.com/en/support/certified-drivers
Here is a link to a check I ran to see what ISV applications are supported by Radeon Pro Duo (Fiji) as I was considering buying one:
old thread, but i been using workstation cards for mainly gaming, editing, internet, etc for years, recently i bought a RX 570 8GB OC and was curoius to install the best driver i have been using for all my workstation cards ( W5000, WX 4100, ) 19.q4.1 and it install just fine and works better than the normal Adrenalin drivers.
There's a difference in gaming performance, but after some finding, it seems like the older 19 version drivers are faster in general compared to the 20 version drivers. But overall, i only plan to use enterprise drivers on my RX 570, but i don't use the 20 version enterprise because there's a nasty crashing gaming bug that affects some games, i did send a report about it, hopefully in the next driver or update driver its fixed.
Enterprise drivers work perfectly fine on my RX 570 8GB OC. The control panel looks like adrenlain, but its still a enterprise version driver.
Thanks. - I bought a Radeon Pro DUO Fiji card and I run the Enterprise drivers on it. Versions ~ similar release date perform ~ similar to Gaming drivers mostly.
