RHEL 9.2 AMD GPU Driver

Dear AMD,

I have been using my AMD Radeon 6900 XT on RHEL 9.1 , no major issues.

However, I have now updated to RHEL 9.1.  Please can you provide a RHEL 9.2 REPO and Driver?  Right now the latest available is for 9.1

Thanks

Chris

I now see a 9.2 repository, however this is identical to 9.1.  The files are the same, again this will not work on the current 9.2 red hat release.

Please can you provide a true 9.2 compiled repository.

I was having this issue but it actually works:

- Download the amdgpu-install rpm package here: https://repo.radeon.com/amdgpu-install/5.5.1/rhel/9.2/

Note that it is not the version on the direct download from the AMD drivers website as I don't know that this is an official release yet.

- Follow the instructions to install the package and run the amdgpu-install script on the Radeon Software for Linux Installation documentation: https://amdgpu-install.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

Using the amdgpu-install options from the documentation I had no issues and everything installed cleanly :

$ amdgpu-install --usecase=workstation -y --vulkan=pro --opencl=rocr,legacy

Please note the conditions of my system:

- BRAND NEW installation of Rocky 9.2, I had not installed any packages before executing the steps above, only updated using dnf.

- R9 7950x

- Asrock X670E Taichi

- Asrock Phantom Gaming RX 7900 XTX

- Western Digital Black 1TB NVMe SSD, /home partition created as 800GiB LVM partition
