I know the Display driver timeout has been a topic for a while now, but in some situations for the 7000 series GPUs these problems were occurring when the computer was in idle state.
The issues started with the 2024 drivers and where never fixed by AMD, even if countless bug reports were added.
The 2024 drivers introduced a more aggressive power saving and caused instability.
For me it seems to have fixed the issue and I want to share the fix (only for IDLE driver timeout)
To disable ULPS in windows 10, open registry editor and go to:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000
Edit the EnableUlps key and change the value to 0.
You may have to do this after each GPU driver update as it may be reset to 1.
