CSGO played on 4:3 stretched, recorded as 16:9

Hi hello,

So I often record some of the plays in CSGO my friends and I make, and when I watch them, the AMD Radeon Software records them as 16:9 with black bars. Now I was wondering if there is a chance that I could have the recorded footage as stretched over the screen instead of 16:9 with black bars on either side.

I'm using AMD Radeon R7 360, AMD Phenom II X4 840, with the latest drivers from AMD Adrenaline from 12/4/2020.

how on earth should this be possible withing the driver? ;)

if you have a 4:3 source than you need a way to resize/stretch it to 16:9 - the driver cant do that

BUT OBS can ;)
so you can use AMD AMF Encoder in OBS and strech your 4:3 source to 16:9 and then record it

but here comes the poopy part - Valve, in its great wisdom, disabled access to 3rd-party hooks if you want to play prime
(it was meant as an anti-cheater measurement - it has failed hard)
so you cant play "prime" and use OBS to capture your game...

so either: non-"prime" but 16:9 video OR "prime" and 4:3 videos ;)
