I was wondering if an AMD 7970 could be used as a dedicated re-live recording card?

Either with another AMD card in it or an Nvidia card. 

More Information:

I would love to activate the second card as a RELIVE AMD card because Nvidia Capture sucks.

My current system is a 1080 Ti that is too big for my case.

With a 7970 as a second card.

I was hoping to use the 7970 as a RELIVE card... or even something newer a R9 390... RX 580 etc... 

Second Card as RELIVE MODE or special driver in the works please?

I used OBS and went into simple mode and selected high quality MP4 and AMD hardware for encoding.

This made use of the 7970 for encoding. People say don't do it but it saves the other video card from needless work.

I like how the 7970 always serves a purpose for me. AMD FTW.
