I recently got my hands to a Dell U2715H which supports DP MST.
My desktop is a Ryzen 5700G on an Asrock B550 Steel Legend. I run openSUSE Tumbleweed and I have 2 monitors connected to the motherboard, the Dell on the DP and the second monitor on the HDMI.
However, I would like to add a 3rd screen for various reasons. I tried to use MST by using an Active DP-> HDMI adapter (). But the second screen stays black and xrandr doesn't show it. My DP cable is 1.4 so, MST is supported, no question about it.
When I enter BIOS, or when I reboot the machine, display is mirrored to the second monitor up the Grub menu. The moment kernel is loaded the second monitor turns black.
Before start getting various adapters to check which combo might work, can someone tell me if MST is supported from the amdgpu kernel module?
If so, do I need to modify a setting or is it enabled by default?
