Every 10 minutes or so AMD Software: Host Application crashes in the background like this and has to be killed in the task manager to reopen the control panel. Anyone else experience this bug or have a fix? I'm on a corsair voyager a1600 with 24.3.1 - have been experiencing this bug since the fluid motion update in january.
I'm also experiencing this bug.
It started after the update to 24.3.1.
The small window is not responding an Windows asks to restart, wait or end the application.
There is also an event logged:
Application Hang Event-ID 1002
Path: C:\Program Files\AMD\CNext\CNext\RadeonSoftware.exe
Type: Unknown
I'm on Windows 10 Pro 64bit
Version 22H2
Build 19045.4291
With a Radeon X6700 XT
I also cannot open the Adrenalin Edition any more on the Tab Streaming cause it freezes instantly.
I did a full reinstall of Adrenalin Edition 24.3.1 with reset to factory default option set.
The problem has not occured since then.
I also can open the Streaming Tab again.
Sadly it reoccured again. Full reinstall did not solve the problem.
Still happening with 24.4.1
Also AMD Software Adrenalin Edition can not be started via Tray Icon.
Icon is present but no menu opens with right click.
Problem still present with 24.5.1
Yeah me too.
I do have a voyager a1600 too, having the same problems. Haven't tried yet but I believed that is caused by one of the corsair apps, I've been having this bug since the first version that launched with motion frames. All of the 24. Versions have that bug.
I did notice something, if you install the driver only option (without adrenaline) it does stoop crashing. But you're left behind without the options of adrenaline of course.
I, too, am having this same issue. Been happening for the last several updates.
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz (16 CPUs), ~2.9GHz
DirectX Version: DirectX 12
Card name: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
Driver Version: 31.0.24033.1003
Yes, I can't find a solution (tried DDU, cleanup tool, reinstall, everything) . Hopefully AMD manage to solve this since it has been really annoying to use the newer drivers.
Ditto. This morning I just fired up my pc and opened Adrenaline and it freezes, have to force close it. **bleep**.
On version 24.5.1, also still experiencing this issue.
AMD should really come with a fix..
Yeah, any idea on how to get their attention? I did email them long ago but they told me it was a corsair problem since the laptop was from them. But seeing that some of you got desktop gpus and that is not covered at all tells a lot about the situation. Honestly believe that they should launch two types of drivers, for laptops and desktop individually. Let's see how this goes.
Seems like this problem is finally fixed.
I don't have this issue anymore with 24.7.1
