Completed DDU full GPU wipe prior to graphics card swap.

Ran AC Odyssey @2K ultra settings. My previous benchmarks with the Red Devil 6800XT in game benchmark was 97-99 FPS. With the the latest driver as of 12/23/22 for the new XFX 7900XTX Merc was 91-97FPS (multiple runs). Benchmarks are within 100pts (overall score is 6300+ for in game benchmark)

Ran AC Valhalla same settings as AC Odyssey; the average benchmarks were 159-160 FPS, not mid 90s like AC Odyssey. I do not have before and after for Valhalla for both cards.

This is definitely a driver issue.

Is AMD aware of this issue with AC Odyssey? @Ray_AMD  or other admin? Older title but many still play.

I ran AC Odyssey again. Same FPS numbers in 2K as previous post after driver reinstall and resize bar enabled/disabled in bios.I took a closer look at image sharpening settings. Image sharpening on produces what looks like over sharpened and color saturated pixels. Some stuttering while playing aswell and the game quit 20 minutes in. 

Ideas anyone?

I check the forum to get some infos before to buy 7900xtx and I see so many issues with driver and never answer from AMD... That unfortunately, I can only advise you to go to nvidia...

NVIDIA is on my not buying list.

1.) With the latest drivers,  AC Odyssey still has low FPS and over sharpening. The newer drivers when they don't crash I have had increases in FPS in AC Valhalla by 10FPS.

The original 7900XTX drivers for me never resulted in a BSOD. Every driver after 22.12.1 I have had the SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED BSOD. With the Jan 11,2023 drivers simple things as opening excel, during saving a word doc result in the BSOD. Even with using DDU to clear old driver remnants the problem persists after a clean install.
