A year ago today, AMD announced the AMD COVID-19 HPC Fund. We donated products and expertise to leading institutions to accelerate medical research on COVID-19 and to improve our ability to respond to future global health crises.

Today, one year later, 23 grantees across seven countries are benefitting from the fund, which has grown to $20M in total market value. With 12 petaflops of total supercomputing capacity now awarded, the combined compute capacity donated through the AMD COVID-19 HPC Fund would rank among the fastest supercomputers in the world according to the most recent Top500 list.
