I was searching 7800 6750XT here and there. A build for charity of course. Wasn't expected to get around here, much of surprise.

I really need a new motherboard and cpu for my son’s computer. Probably an AMD ryzen 7 7700x and not sure which motherboard just yet. Whatever fits I guess.

would love to upgrade to an am5 board and a 9000 series cpu once they drop- and that 7700 would definitely be perfect for the aesthetic pc i'm looking to do!

I plan on buying a RDNA 4 product next generation with around 7900 xt performance and 16 gb vram. Can't wait to have really nice textures available as I'm on an 8 gb GPU atm. It's still OK, but really lacking sometimes as I play at 1440p high refresh rate.

My next AMD purchase will probably be a Ryzen 5600, though that's subject to change based on when I do decide I need the upgrade. 👍

My 6750 XT is crying in Senua's Saga, so possibly an RDNA4 GPU. Also scoping for a 12 or 16 core AM4 CPU for cheap for a server.

Well it looks like I will have to break down and get a new GPU. My old RX 480 called it quits this morning. At first I thought it was the MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus board. However after a BIOS reset I noticed the the GPU fans were not running at all. So I dig out and old HIS ICEQ 3600 (?) and an ancient (by computing standards) video cable and installed it. Everything booted fine and the diagnosis was complete. As I stated earlier that I was looking at the RX 7600. It outperforms my 5700 XT by a 22-25% margin and that will more than meet my needs. I was also comparing it with the 6700 XT and chose in favor of the RDNA 3 over the RDNA 2, and the fact that the 6700XT cost about $100 (US) more for only a 12 % increase in performance. Ordered a Gigabyte RX 7600 on Amazon this morning. The free shipping was the deciding factor for the marketers.
Good luck to everyone, and GOD BLESS YOU.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D or better. Hope to do a complete AMD build before win10 is no longer supported, current setup not compatible with win11.
