Hey Red Team,
Recently, @petosiris came up with the idea to have a dedicated thread for members to introduce themselves and get to know one another. I LOVED that!
So, moving forward this post will be the dedicated place to comment and get to know one another - especially if you're new to the community. 😍 You may be thinking, what do I even tell people about myself? Don't worry, I went ahead and created some thought starters you can copy/choose from below:
Of course if you don't like any of those questions, you can share your own fun facts or any story you'd like. Have fun with it and I can't wait to get to know you all a little more. 🤗
Hi glad to be here Im James a Australian guy thats was from the outback but now live in a city

I had to google Ford XD Panel Van and wow... that's a wild looking vehicle! 😂
Welcome to the community! I'm in the same boat with having hobbies that are expensive... lol.
I built my first PC at the beginning of the pandemic. I discovered that I really enjoyed the process and have since built well over a dozen for friends and family.
Thanks for sharing with us, @eks0153!
Deep Rock Galactic is a blast with a party. Love the hobbies too - do you have a watch collection? I'm very slowly getting into watches and hope to have a few options in the next few years (as they can get pricey).
I do have a watch collection and it's overwhelmingly comprised of mechanical watches. I suppose it depends on your definition of pricey, but you can get some really nice "entry-level" watches in the range of a couple hundred dollars. The total cost of my collection could easily have paid for some fancy heritage brand pieces, but I don't care to own those brands for the sake of owning those brands. I'd rather have a wider variety of interesting (to me) watches. I'm a sucker for nice, textured dials, whether physical or visual.

I love Photography too. Are you a professional, or just do it for fun?
Hello All! I’ve always been a big fan of Team Red. Always had AMD PC’s growing up. Currently running a 5800X and a 6900XT combo on my gaming rig.
Wow - I wish I had your first car... 😄 What are you driving now?
Valorant seems likes such a fun game to get into, but I'm awful at that style of game (CS/CS:GO). Too much pressure! Haha.
Shooters aren't that hard to pick up. GIT GUD @Wally_AMD!!!!! 🤣
I am from Indiana and my favorite game is Eve. That makes me a PC gamer. Favorite food is Pizza from Pizza King - Royal feast with barbecue sauce. First car that I owned was a Chrysler Laser. I am glad to be part of this community.

Welcome to the community! I had to google that pizza and now I'm salivating... it looks incredible.
Hey team AMD!
Nice to now be part off this team.
I am an PC builder and made the step from Intel to AMD when the Ryzen 9 3900X came out.
It still runs smooth as the day i build it.
I wish for the future i will also step away from Nvidea and make it a full AMD system.
Keep up the good work !
I love your username...😆 Welcome to our community! Looking forward to converting you to a full AMD build.
Hi everyone!
Currently gaming on an all AMD Desktop with a 7700X CPU and 7900XTX GPU.
Debating on upgrading CPU sometime in the future. Any advice for something hefty enough to stream and play on the same PC would be helpful!
Hello there! My name is Andreas and I found out about this community from the email a few days back!
Here's a short summary of my answers:
Outer Wilds. I have played the main game and was blown away by the interactivity of the game design. I'm trying out the DLC and making slow but steady progress.
Eggplant salad. Or... Aubergine if that's more what you fancy. With bits of onion as well, of course.
Used to play on a laptop long ago, now on a PC running a used-to-be state-of-the-art (in 2016) 4c8t CPU and a really great 2017 11GB GPU. I'm looking to upgrade soon to get some 8 cores of super fast processing and an RT-capable GPU.
Cat all the way. Name's Cassie. Here's a pic of her next to the PC:
Going out and about the urban landscape, exploring nature or getting into tech fights on the internet!
Can't wait to meet y'all here and hope you have a wonderful day!
Welcome to the community! Glad to have you join us and the rest of the Red Team here.
Outer Wilds has been a game on my list to check out for some time... but I'm not sure if I'd enjoy it. What other games could you compare it to?
I've seen it compared to Myst and that sort of stuff. I've tried Obduction before and didn't really click with just how not-handhold-y it was. Outer Wilds has a couple of systems to push you in the right direction though so you're not totally lost! The cosmic puzzle is worth it!
Hello! I am 62 years old! I have been a gamer/builder since the 1980's. Boy how things have changed over the years. I remember when PONG came out. I've been upgrading or building my own rigs that whole time. I'm no expert, what I know I taught myself by tinkering and reading. I am more of a hardware guy than anything else. I'm about to finish DEAD ISLAND 2. I mostly like first person shooters but the occasional 3rd person game like DEAD SPACE is good as long as it's done right, which it was! I am an AM5 early adopter ( I'll never do that again), this is my rig:
ASUS STRIX X670E-E MOTHERBOARD (bios ver. 1303 stable), RYZEN 7 7700X, 32GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE 6000 Mt/s MEMORY, XFX RADEON 7900 XTX GRAPHICS CARD, 500 GB SOLIDIGM GEN 4 OS DRIVE, 1 TB SOLIDIGM GEN 4 GAME DRIVE, CORSAIR 1000 WATT SHIFT PSU, SAMSUNG 49" G9 NEO MONITOR, VALVE INDEX VR SYSTEM.
I retired about 4 years ago when I was diagnosed with lung cancer. I am stage 4 metastatic since it went to my brain back in 2020. They were able to zap it with radiation. I don't have whole lot of hobbies. I do like to draw and paint. That's something I have done my whole life. Well that's me in a nutshell
Favorite Computer? My latest build.
favorite wine? Bordeaux blends.
Are you a gamer? Not really.
Hello, Everyone!
Thank you all for joining the Red Team and introducing yourselves! The timing couldn't have been better because you're in for something special. We're diligently working on some cool stuff for this summer, and something tells me you'll enjoy them. Don't ask me what, because I love to surprise people...
I can certainly attest to @Sam_AMD's desire to torment those of us who don't like surprises!!!!!
But in the end, it always does turn out to be AWESOME!
eh eh eh! You know it!
What's your favorite video game you're currently playing?
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, Red Dead Redemption 2, Forza Horizon 5
Favorite food?
Salchipapa, double burger
Are you a PC or laptop gamer?
PC and premiering 6900XT
Are you a dog or cat person?
Dogs
What hobbies do you have?
Video games, anime and family
What was your first car?
I love motorcycles
I love motorcycles too! I had a few, mainly racing bikes, although I started on dirt bikes.
My first "real" bike was a Suzuki GS 500, then a GSXR 750 (which got stolen after three months), followed by a GSXR 600 (I took a few racing lessons with this one at Laguna Seca), and last but not least a Yamaha R1 (this beast scared the heck out of me, too powerful, too fast, and had so many close calls, I had to let it go, not to mention -> speeding tickets LOL)
Excellent bikes you've had, I'm more of an adventure rider. I like to go out to see places with my wife as co-pilot, now I'm looking at options to upgrade to a 500-600cc model adventur.
Thank you!
Adventure bikes are just as fun! I rented a BMW GS 650 and went on a tour in northern Italy, for about a week. I enjoyed every moment; however, going through the tunnels and crossing bridges while riding near the Alps was scary. Between the wind and the 18-wheelers pushing you left and right, and the "aggressive" drivers tailgating me, well, it was a "fight". But again, it was a great experience and I would do it again.
Are you planning on touring around the US, with your wife? Do you have the gear? (Comms, helmets, skeleton, leathers, etc.)
What are you riding these days, @Sam_AMD? I had a 1985 V65 Magna, 1992 ZX11 and an 01 Blackbird. I gotta admit that I've got a definite preference for Hondas, but if I get back on a bike once my back is a bit stronger and my hips are fixed, I'm looking really hard at getting an Indian. I had the opportunity to test ride a few about 10 years ago. The dealership I got a lot of my Kawi parts from had dropped Kawasaki and had switched to Indian as their flagship since they already carried Polaris OHVs, and I gotta tell you: those are some really nice bikes. The Scout feels like a lower-slung Magna, and the big touring models are plush and comfy, but they just don't corner the way a knee dragger like me is used to!
Hey everyone! Excited to be here! I've been using AMD builds for my last 3 machines (including my current rig), about 7 years? Figured I should join the community!
Looking forward to hanging out here more!
-Nate
Hello, my name is Jesse but online I go by Pygowsky or simply Pygo 🙂
I am an IT Analyst and I have been working in Healthcare IT for over 10 years. Started with Service Desk & Deskside Support and transitioned over to Clinical Application Support. I am also a streamer and content creator that does technical/tutorial content as well as gaming and web 3!
Also, I am neither a Cat or Dog person due to allergies, so I have 5 ferrets 😛 I am really looking forward to Diablo IV coming up. Hope everyone is having a great week!
Welcome to the RED TEAM forum.😀
You are now entering the "Twighlight Zone".
Just kidding. Hope you enjoy all of my photos as a grow old.
Holy snap... my dad wasn't even born until 1957! But I can't call you Grampa, since you'd be too young for that! 🤣
In the 2011 phot that is my youngest son on the right. This was at his wedding. I need to see if he would like to join the forum because he is a big time online gamer.
Have you noticed anything odd about the years on the photos. I really never thought too much about it but the 1955 photo was 2nd grade and 2017 was 12th grade. I never failed a grade and graduated high school at the age of 17. I know the 1967 is correct and the 1955 should also be correct since I was born in 49. Can you believe that I actually lost sleep over this. 😂
Great to me everyone here. I have been building my own PCs for over 25 years. I am always learning something new on every build.
