Where “Reply” loads up a full reply page, giving you full access to formatting, attaching files, etc, the “Quick Reply” function opens a simple text box right there on the same screen and gives you the ability to write a quick response to a post, without having to leave the page. Hope you find it useful. You'll see the new “Quick Reply” button at the bottom of posts/discussions, right next to the 'Accept as Solution' and regular “Reply” buttons.
To turn on “Quick Reply”:
- Click on “My Settings” found in the dropdown menu under your avatar.
- Click on the “Preferences” tab then on the “Display” tab.
- In the “Display Settings” page, check the box next to “Turn on Quick Reply”
- Click on the “Save” button.
- Voila!
