Freezin game screen when is fullscreen

Well, my problem started when I changed my monitor, my old monitor was a 75hz Samsung, my current one is a 165hz Risemode,
what is happening on my computer is that depending on the game, when I put it in full screen it completely locks the screen of the game,
the game's sound still works but the screen is completely frozen (remembering that it's just the screen of the game,
the rest of the computer doesn't freeze), the only solution I found to prevent this from happening was to uninstall the amd driver,
but I wanted a solution that didn't involve uninstalling the driver, does anyone know how to solve this? My configuration: -Ryzen 5 5600 -Rx 6600Captura de tela 2024-10-27 084152.png -32GB RAM -ssd nvme 1Tb -MSI Mortar Max B450M motherboard -Win 11

Are you using a Display Port (DP) monitor cable?  The HDMI cables start to have problems when the refresh rates go up as it did in your case.  If you are, try using another port on the RX 6600 GPU.  I agree that you want to have the AMD Adrenalin driver (try 24.10.1) installed an functioning properly.

Also, does problem go away when you swap back to the old monitor?

Even switching to HDMI the problem still persists, and as you asked, yes, if I switch to my old monitor this error stops. I don't know what happened now but sometimes even uninstalling the driver the game still keeps freezing

Maybe the monitor needs a Firmware update?

I don't think I've ever done a monitor firmware update.  I didn't even know that was a thing.

It's possible the GPU needs a firmware update.  Maybe that can be checked on the manufacturer's website.

I still suspect a cable issue.  I would be using a good quality DP cable.

Yeah it's a thing, I've done it. My Asus OLED has a specific cable for doing the firmware update.
