From Embedded, Enterprise, and Semi-custom to the Product Security, Compute and Graphics segments, here you’ll find the latest updates from AMD, including news coverage, announcements, and more!
As data processing units become increasingly recognized as the key to next-generation data centers, the focus has been on hardware capabilities. In this post we discuss two key advantages of AMD Pensando™ DPUs: the software stack and development tools.
Since then, Lenovo has supplied us with the same laptop, but with a large-capacity 86Wh battery. Here, we’ll reveal our comparison testing results and share some important lessons about balancing battery and performance in Windows 11.
I’m pleased to share with you that AMD Pensando DPUs are accelerating Microsoft Azure. With the recent announcement of Accelerated Connections available now for Public Preview, Azure customers can achieve orders of magnitude higher networking performance. This new service offering is an architectural shift that decouples the DPU adapter and SDN stack from the server.
Digital twin innovation is a major focus for many of our customers, and Embedded World visitors were treated to an early preview of digital twin technology in action for humanoid robotics applications, courtesy of MakarenaLabs (Verona, Italy). MakarenaLabs specializes in advanced information technologies in the field of embedded cloud design, artificial intelligence, hardware acceleration and multimedia systems.
At this year's OCP Regional summit in Prague Czechia AMD is showcasing peripheral attestation using DMTF SPDM communication between the 4th Gen AMD EPYC™ processor (as SPDM Responder) and AMI’s Tektagon XFR (as SPDM Requestor). To further demonstrate interoperability, the peripheral attestation flow is repeated with BMC (as SPDM Requestor) hosted on AMD’s DC-SCM card contributed to OCP.
Scalability of silicon initialization firmware across the Host firmware landscape has always been a challenge, demanding increased security as nimbler host firmwares become main stream. AMD openSIL resolves this problem statement at scale and embraces the open source for trust and open to industry wide adoption.
SOLIDWORKS users love the power of their big, bulky workstations, but the computing industry is always innovating and improving. Can the latest lightweight laptops keep up with the needs of a CAD professional?
AMD announced a flurry of processors at CES 2023 this week. The new mobile and desktop CPUs build on the launch of the Ryzen(TM) 7000 family of chips in the Fall of 2022, and they provide new options for efficiency aficionados, gamers, and content creators.
AMD, along with Azure, Google Cloud and NVIDIA, are founding members of Project Caliptra, establishing an open specification for root-of-trust security in SoCs. It is managed by the Open Compute Project. AMD has been a member of the Open Compute Project since 2012, supporting the industry’s move to open standards for server and data center products.
