Using ProRender, after rendering an image, it doesn't free the RAM used during the rendering process.
RAM is only freed when:
- The next image using ProRender is rendered, i.e. if an animation is being rendered, it works well, until the last frame, after which it stops freeing RAM
- Blender is closed
RAM is not freed if:
- I close the output window
- I render next image using some other renderer e.g. cycles just after that
Has anyone else experienced a similar situation. It is a problem in my case since, ~1.4GB RAM is used during rendering and if not freed, there is not much remaining for other work. It does not free even if other processes or other applications need it.
I have a pretty old PC:
- Intel Core2Quad Q8400 w/ 4GB DDR2 RAM (2+2)
- MB: Intel DG41RQ
- GPU: AMD RX 570 4GB
- OS Windows 7 (x64) SP1
